Job Summary
Coordinate receipt and release of inbound/outbound cargo per schedules, ensure TSA/IATA/DOT/IMDG compliance, inspect cargo for damage and paperwork, prepare cargo for shipment with labeling, palletizing, shrink-wrapping and handling according to customer requirements, manage hazardous materials in compliance with applicable regulations, assemble pallets/ULDs as needed, perform cargo handling and de-vanning tasks, maintain inventory and warehouse equipment, assist with customer service communications and status updates, and collaborate with 3PL and management to meet client requirements and outbound timelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Two years’ experience preferred in International and domestic freight forwarding operations
- STA certification
- Successfully passed TSA training
- Forklift safety certification
- Knowledge of TSA/C-TPAT regulations and practices including security
- Certified to handle Dangerous Goods when receiving, storing, handling, or releasing freight
- Registered in CBP if working in a bonded warehouse area
