Job Summary
Develop and execute the enterprise logistics strategy supporting multiple manufacturing facilities, optimizing transportation networks for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods between production sites and customers. Manage daily interplant movement of generator enclosures, coordinate oversized freight requiring permits, and negotiate freight contracts to reduce costs while maintaining on-time delivery performance. Lead enterprise transportation planning, balance capacity across plants, and apply Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve manufacturing velocity. Monitor logistics KPIs including damage rates, cost per mile, and trailer utilization to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive logistics or supply chain leadership experience
- 5+ years managing logistics in a multi-site manufacturing environment
- Experience with oversized freight, fabricated steel products, or industrial equipment transportation
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations, freight management, and carrier negotiations
- Experience with ERP systems such as D365, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Epicor
- Advanced Excel and logistics analytics skills
- Ability to travel between manufacturing facilities, vendor locations, and offsite holding facilities

Desired Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- Transportation Management System (TMS) implementation experience
- Experience supporting engineered-to-order manufacturing serving mission-critical industries such as data centers, healthcare, power generation, or industrial infrastructure
