Job Summary
Oversee the entire supply chain from raw material acquisition to finished product delivery, optimizing logistics processes for efficiency and on-time delivery. Manage inventory levels, warehousing operations, and transportation logistics while developing robust shipping and receiving protocols. Negotiate contracts with carriers and freight forwarders, utilizing data analytics to forecast demand and drive continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with all domestic and international shipping regulations. This role supports multiple manufacturing partners in Portage, MI, where long-term fit and alignment are prioritized over immediate placement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly for inventory and warehouse management
- Strong understanding of transportation management, including carrier negotiation, freight optimization, and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and implement process improvements
