Logistics Manager

Job Summary
Lead the logistics team in unloading raw materials, loading final products, and managing truck and rail car movement on the plant site. Supervise drivers and equipment operators, including locomotives and loaders, while ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and railroad regulations. Set up and dispatch shipments, operate industrial machinery, and maintain accurate data entry and reporting. Control application of safety policies, measure variances, and provide revision input to procedures to enhance customer service results. Perform routine housekeeping and other assigned duties to maintain a clean work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent degree
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum of 3 years management experience
- Ability to meet all requirements to successfully and safely operate machinery and industrial equipment
- Basic computer knowledge working with Windows, Excel, etc.
- Good communication skills
- Thorough understanding of applicable regulatory requirements of FRA, TTB, FSMA, state and federal regulations
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (Hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, heeled boots, and hearing protection)
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job includes but are not limited to: frequent sitting, computer use, telephone use and ability to work independently
- Ability to manage confined space entry, climb ladders and steps, lift up to 60 lbs, and work at heights
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and be able to maintain ongoing work authorization without employer sponsorship now or in the future
