Job Summary

Oversee day-to-day transportation operations at assigned logistics locations by reviewing route schedules, coordinating with site leaders, and ensuring alignment with site-specific goals. Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports through coaching, leadership development, and performance management while evaluating daily work areas for safety standards and yard cleanliness. Coordinate and monitor inventory movement through warehouse workflows, distributing shifts to meet business needs and addressing operational deficiencies. Full-time salary position with medical, 401k match, and tuition reimbursement. Requires DOT compliance knowledge, 2+ years of people leadership experience, and 3+ years in logistics. Work Sunday-Thursday mornings initially, transitioning to evenings after training; flexibility for overtime, nights, and weekends is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of DOT compliance/regulations
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience
  • 3+ years of logistics or supply chain experience
  • Demonstrable experience leading or developing people (in either formal or informal roles), including managing CDL drivers
  • Transportation experience, which may include driving a vehicle transporter or tractor trailer, or equivalent Military experience
  • Ability to safely perform physical requirements of the position, including: frequently move in and out of vehicles; frequently stand, bend, twist, stoop, and squat; regularly walk 75'; regularly climb ladders and ramps of up to 10'; regularly work up to 10' above ground; continually sit for 10 hours; regularly push, pull and lift 20 lbs, and periodically lift up to 60 lbs
  • Ability to work in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, dusty, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions such as: rain, snow, heat, etc.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, nights, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work in an office environment, with extensive use of computers, including the ability to sit for up to 4 or more hours
  • Sunday - Thursday 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM to begin; flexibility is required as this position will transition to evenings after training

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in related fields
  • equivalent Military experience
