Job Summary
On-Site Transportation Manager for PTG Logistics in Stanley, VA overseeing a dedicated fleet of 15 drivers; responsibilities include driver leadership, dispatch planning, backhaul development, safety/compliance with DOT/HOS/FMCSA, customer operations, equipment maintenance, and reporting. Strong leadership, driver coaching, load matching, revenue-generating backhaul development, and familiarity with systems such as Motive, Tenstreet, Samba/CSA, Asurint, and others are required to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation operations for the on-site operation.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in transportation, driver management, or load planning
- Proven experience booking backhauls through broker boards strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of DOT, HOS, and FMCSA regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
- Class A CDL (preferred but not required)
