Job Summary
Manage inbound and outbound transportation activities across U.S., Canada, and Mexico manufacturing, warehouse, and customer locations. Procure freight services, negotiate carrier rates, and analyze costs to identify savings while ensuring On-Time In-Full delivery. Collaborate with Customer Service, Planning, Procurement, Production, and Warehouse teams to align shipping schedules with operational needs. Monitor transportation budgets, conduct lane analysis, and develop key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. Ensure DOT compliance and manage claims, insurance, and third-party logistics provider relationships.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of transportation, logistics, supply chain, or freight management experience
- Experience managing both inbound and outbound transportation operations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate freight costs, service performance, and operational data
- Experience negotiating and managing carrier relationships
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance requirements
- Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, Planning, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and transportation analytics
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Desired Qualifications
- Food manufacturing, refrigerated/frozen distribution, pharmaceutical, or other temperature-controlled supply chain experience
- Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- ERP implementation or optimization experience
- Experience managing transportation activities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico
- Knowledge of 3PL operations and distribution networks
