Job Summary

Lead the implementation of sourcing strategies using the eight-step strategic sourcing process and continuous improvements to streamline contractual efforts. Conduct analyses on past, current, and future performance and spend data to select the best overall strategy for the portfolio. Perform all facets of LMS principles and procedures associated with Air Force Supply Chain Management, working with IPTs to analyze installation and Major Command planning documents. Provide guidance on logistics systems and processes related to specific series, including the development of Requirements Approval Documents and tactical acquisition strategies. Manage activities involving supply chain management systems such as PRPS, WAWF, LIMS-EV, and DLA Asset Visibility. Lead program continuity efforts, develop bullet background papers, retention letters, and Market Research reports, and execute the AFSO21 8-Step Problem Solving process.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in DoW logistics or aircraft maintenance/sustainment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting logistics planning, coordination, or program execution in a military or defense environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce professional guidance, reports, memorandums, and briefings
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple functional areas and maintain visibility on competing priorities and schedules
  • Active Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting installation-level bed-down, deployment, or mission transition activities
  • Associate's Degree (A Bachelor's degree is preferred) and 5+ years of work-related experience or a combination of both. CCAF degree can substitute for Associate's Degree from a College or University
  • Familiarity with aircraft sustainment planning processes and AFMC Supply Chain processes
  • Experience working with Wing and Major Command level supply chain entities
  • Background in Air Force or defense logistics environments strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to support senior leaders with concise, accurate, and timely information
  • Strong understanding of aircraft logistics, maintenance, and sustainment operations
  • Skilled in preparing executive-level written products and oral briefings
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills with close attention to detail
  • Ability to identify conflicts and recommend solutions in complex operational environments
  • Professional judgment and the ability to communicate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams
