Job Summary
Coordinate supply deployment during law enforcement operations to sustain mission readiness and oversee equipment receipt, issue, disposition, and security documentation. Conduct logistics audits to verify compliance with policies, investigate theft or loss incidents, and maintain accurate procurement and inventory records. Mentor junior personnel while providing strategic direction for transportation, inventory, and mission support operations. Lead a team of logistics professionals, establish vendor partnerships, and drive large class C vehicles in support of USCP missions. Develop comprehensive logistics strategies, manage procurement activities including contract negotiations, and analyze data to identify process improvements. Prepare high-level reports on logistics performance for senior leadership. This senior-level role ensures efficiency and compliance within the Logistical Support Services contract for the U.S. Capitol Police.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in logistics management or related field
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Advanced analytical skills and the ability to make strategic decisions based on data
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in logistics software, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, and data analysis tools
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check & drug test
- Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift over 50lbs
- Valid Drivers License with good driving history
- Ability to learn to operate a forklift and electric pallet jack through USCP provided training
Desired Qualifications
