Job Summary
Lead logistics strategy and governance within the Supply Chain Management function, shaping operating model and ensuring alignment with operational, project and business objectives. Build and mentor the logistics team, establish robust transportation plans, 3PL frameworks, and governance that support cost, service, quality, ESG outcomes and risk management. Own logistics performance reporting and KPI frameworks (including spend, delivery performance, customs compliance, supplier performance, and carbon emissions). Drive digital enablement and continuous improvement across logistics processes and systems (e.g., NetSuite). Partner with Operations, Projects/PMO, Procurement & Warehousing, Finance, Legal and HSE/ESG to translate demand into optimized logistics solutions. Ensure ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance, audit readiness, and governance across policies, SOPs, templates, and controls. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days per week based in the Southampton office.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in logistics with proven leadership of teams
- experience setting logistics strategy, implementing governance and delivering transportation, distribution and total cost optimisation improvements
- experience managing complex international project logistics, including customs compliance, vessel operations, offshore logistics and time-critical shipments
- Strong understanding of logistics best practice, policies, procedures and governance, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements
- credible communicator, senior logistics partner to leadership
- people leader with coaching mindset and capability development
- proficient with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite) and logistics analytics
