Job Summary
Operate equipment via computer controls to load finished sand into railcars while inspecting hopper cars for product and gross weight compliance. Perform railcar inspections, unloading, coupling, uncoupling, switching, and minor repairs including replacing couplings or air brake hoses. Complete required documentation, maintain accurate loading records, and verify paperwork accuracy. Connect loading equipment to cars, communicate via radio and telephone, and report problems to management. Ensure all operations meet MSHA safety standards, wear protective clothing, and maintain awareness of surrounding areas. Work under supervision of the Logistics Shift Supervisor with direction from managers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Good judgment is required
- Must be adaptable
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have high safety standards for self and others
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Must be able to collaborate effectively with others
- Must be willing to work any assigned shift
- Must be willing to work overtime
- Must be willing to work weekends

- Must be able to read

Desired Qualifications
- Prior rail, transload, or refinery experience
- MSHA training and experience
