Job Summary
Logistics Engineer, Field Engineering to support process improvement and cost-out projects within The Home Depot's Global Logistics. Responsibilities include identifying logistics process improvements, leading cross-functional projects, developing tools and cost models, creating/ad hoc queries and reports, establishing operating procedures, and conducting time, rate, network, and supply chain analyses to develop KPIs for distribution and transportation functions. Requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), 2+ years of experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office and data tools, project-management capabilities, and strong analytical/communication skills. Travel 25-50% expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or related field
- Experience with Six Sigma or other Process Improvement Methodology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Visio
- Advanced skills in MiniTab, SQL, Visual Basic, Project
- Project Management skills
- Advanced Data Modeling Skills
- Finance/Cost-Benefit Analysis/Capital Budget experience
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree program or equivalent in related field
