Job Summary
Logistics Driver to safely operate commercial vehicles to transport aerospace materials between company facilities, suppliers, and customer locations, ensuring DOT compliance, load securement, and chain of custody. Role emphasizes inspections (pre/post-trip), adherence to hours-of-service, documentation accuracy (bills of lading, packing lists, transfer records), and coordination with warehouse/receiving teams. Requires forklift certification (preferred) and a CDL with endorsements, along with 2+ years of driving experience. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and support audits with precise record-keeping. Security clearance ability: Secret DoD clearance, U.S. citizenship required. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; AA preferred. Experience in aerospace/defense environment and hazardous materials transport (DOT/IATA) is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent) required
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
- 2+ years of commercial driving experience
- Experience handling and transporting sensitive or high-value equipment
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and hours-of-service rules
- Experience with shipping and logistics documentation (bills of lading, delivery receipts)
- Knowledge of AS9100 principles including documentation accuracy and traceability
