Job Summary
Coordinate the movement of petroleum products between loading terminals and customer facilities by managing third-party carriers, distributing daily pricing, and directing driver assignments. Monitor markets to plan purchasing and product movement while ensuring DOT compliance, reviewing driver paperwork, and maintaining accurate dispatch information in dedicated systems. Establish trust with drivers, customers, and terminal employees through ongoing communication and timely follow-up regarding safety, fleet, and product issues. Maintain confidentiality of customer information and document driver performance feedback when requested.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Knowledge of U.S. geography
- Basic mathematical calculations ability
Desired Qualifications
- College degree from an accredited university or college
- Two to Three years of transportation industry and terminology experience
- One to two years of excellent relationship management skills, negotiation skills
- One to two years of understanding of customer needs and market requirements
- Current Driver's License
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Internet, and transportation-related software
