Job Summary
Receive, book, and schedule transportation orders to ensure timely and accurate freight movement. Prepare and process documentation including air waybills, commercial documents, and customs regulations. Update shipment information into the operating system and execute invoicing based on established SOPs, rate shells, and tariffs. Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and the internal network via email, phone, and instant messaging while maintaining strong relationships with airlines and trucking companies. Monitor reports to track performance and escalate problems to management when necessary. Maintain compliance with internal policies, external government regulations, and customer requirements while meeting key performance indicators.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Excellent customer service skills; friendly, courteous, empathetic and helpful
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proven desire to learn and expand knowledge base
- Sense of urgency around all aspects of customer service
- Emotional resilience, can withstand stress
- Work effectively and productively with others
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in English
