Job Summary
Customer-focused Logistics Specialist responsible for building a book of business in a 3PL brokerage environment by selling freight services across multiple modes (Full Truck Load, Liquid Bulk, Flatbed, Reefer, and Specialized shipments). Manages and develops relationships with shipping personnel, oversees customer operations, negotiates and prices spot and contractual freight via RFPs, and drives growth through lead generation and account management. Collaborates with transportation and logistics departments, reviews AR, and works toward quarterly/yearly sales goals with a dotted-line to brokerage leadership. Requires strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills
- Proven ability to work independently
- Demonstrated skill to see a project to completion
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to act as a team player and get involved in all aspects of the business function
