Job Summary
Coordinate and optimize delivery schedules by communicating with mobile units, monitoring situations via phone or radio, and using mapping software to locate the best routes. Schedule and dispatch drivers to pick up and deliver loads while modifying daily routes to accommodate customer needs and address sudden changes or road construction. Assist in dispatch pending loads, update customer web portals with load information, and pull loads forecast from the system. Enforce safety procedures by monitoring driver reports and analyze transportation planning opportunities to reduce costs. Maintain high compliance to dispatch standards and operating procedures. English fluency is a must. Based in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, this role offers professional growth opportunities within an entrepreneurial organization.
Required Qualifications
- English fluency
- +3 years of experience in logistics or transportation
- College diploma or degree
- +2 years of experience in customer service roles
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new software quickly
- Good time-management with an ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
