Job Summary
Logistics Coordinator responsibilities include cost-effective transportation planning, ensuring timely movement of goods from plant to customers and 3PLs, coordinating with production, warehouse, and customer service to maintain product availability, managing freight costs, and driving continuous improvement. The role requires SAP and TMX proficiency for daily order tendering, collaboration with senior management on disruption and trends, railcar tracking, 3PL coordination, and SQF standard development with Quality Systems. Candidates should have 5+ years of logistics experience, strong communication skills, knowledge of railroad operations, and fluency with SAP, TMS, MS Office, MS Dynamics, Adobe Pro, OSHA/DOT guidelines, and a relevant degree or certifications.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in inventory, transportation, delivery, and distribution
- Proficient knowledge of railroad operations, rules, and regulations
- Ability to work in a high-demand, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Proficient in SAP
- Proficient in Adobe Pro
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in MS Dynamics
- Proficient in Transportation Management Systems operations
- Working knowledge of OSHA and DOT guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- Proven ability to analyze transportation and logistics operations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with SAP, TMX, TMS, and 3PL coordination
- Knowledge of railroad operations and regulatory guidelines (OSHA/DOT)
- AC/BS in business, transportation, or supply chain (preferred)
- Accredited certification in logistics, transportation, or supply chain accounting (preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of SQF FDA/FMA, NSF, DOT, MSHA and OSHA regulations (preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, and MS Dynamics
