Job Summary
Coordinate and optimize transportation and distribution operations to ensure timely plant-to-customer movement, collaborating with production, warehouse, 3PLs, and customer service. Drive cost efficiency through railcar and freight management, SAP/TMX/TMS monitoring, and data analysis; develop SQF-related transportation standards with Quality Systems; lead root-cause analyses for transportation issues; support new business development with logistics insights; ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements; and communicate trends and disruptions to leadership to protect service levels.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in inventory, transportation, delivery, and distribution
- Proficient knowledge of railroad operations, rules, and regulations
- Ability to work in a high-demand, fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in SAP
- Proficient in Adobe Pro
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in MS Dynamics
- Proficient in Transportation Management Systems operations
- Working knowledge of OSHA and DOT guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- Associates/Bachelor's degree in business, transportation/supply chain
