Job Summary
Logistics Coordinator responsible for coordinating logistics for automotive customers, interfacing with the American Furukawa group and customers to resolve logistic and material-flow issues, and ensuring 100% on-time delivery. Manages ERP data entry, coordinates EDI transactions, monitors production, inventory, and shipments, supports procurement and new part introductions, collaborates with prototype/new model buyers, prepares periodic reports for management, and assists in warehouse tasks. Requires experience in automotive logistics, ERP/EDI proficiency, and strong communication skills; college degree or equivalent and at least 2 years in the automotive/logistics field are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2-year college degree or equivalent
- 2 years’ experience in the automotive industry or adequate experience in logistics, purchasing, operations and material control applicable to the position
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Understanding of the automotive industry terminology
- Understanding of the basics of international business flow and documentation requirements
- Ability to utilize EDI
- Strong computer skills: MS Office and experience using accounting and inventory management software preferred
