Job Summary
Obtain freight quotes from carriers, evaluate pricing, and negotiate competitive rates. Accurately enter orders into the system while coordinating with sales and customer service to ensure correct details. Monitor shipments using tracking systems to provide timely updates on status and estimated times of arrival. Identify and resolve issues with shipments or administrative processes, collaborating with the team to improve overall efficiency. This entry-level role supports Rome Logistics Group's mission to enhance supply chain efficiency for clients across North America.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field
- At least 1 year of logistics/transportation experience
Desired Qualifications
- Previous 3PL logistics experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Proficient in CRM systems
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Highly driven, proactive, and eager to grow a career in logistics
