Job Summary
Oversee regional logistics strategy by scaling and optimizing the dropbox network across biotech hubs, universities, and research centers on the Eastern Coast. Manage customer and facility contacts to activate new dropboxes, gather access permissions, and coordinate pickup schedules. Track shipments, resolve delivery issues, and monitor UPS deliveries while responding promptly to customer inquiries about shipping delays or missed pickups. Serve as the liaison between customers, labs, couriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and drive supply chain efficiency. Negotiate courier rates, refine operational processes, and leverage data to fine-tune network speed and cost structures. Work with the design team on dropbox redesign projects and contribute to process improvements in shipping and sample management.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a logistics role with a focus on problem-solving and process improvement
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations coordination
- Bachelor's degree supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field
- Experience with logistics software or inventory management systems (e. g. , SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations and compliance
- Specific understanding of how to deal with cold chain logistics, biohazard materials, etc.
- Ability to work a 4 AM or 5 AM shift in Louisville, KY
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a biotech, life sciences, or technology environment
- Experience improving logistics systems/processes for efficiency
- Experience in consumer- to- business shipping with overnight delivery timeframes
- IATA certified
- Knowledge of DNA sequencing technologies or related fields in life sciences or biotechnology
- Demonstrated interest in logistics and working on large scale problems
- Someone who is a natural problem solver and can work independently to take charge of new projects
- Wants to be in a fact paced in paced environment where they will learn and have a ton of impact
