Job Summary
Coordinate inbound and outbound freight shipments, schedule transportation with carriers, and monitor shipment status to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods. Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and transportation records while preparing documentation such as bills of lading and packing slips. Resolve shipping discrepancies, carrier claims, and freight-related issues, and assist with inventory control activities and cycle counting. Track transportation costs to identify savings opportunities and generate logistics performance metrics for management. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on logistics efficiency and customer service within a fully onsite, 1st shift role at Regal Rexnord Cleveland.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
- 2 years of logistics, shipping/receiving, transportation, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems
- Experience working with common carriers, LTL, parcel, and truckload shipments
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and warehouse operations
- Experience with freight claims and transportation management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of logistics, shipping/receiving, transportation, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
