Job Summary
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, suppliers, and warehouse teams while verifying deliveries, tracking freight, and updating internal systems. Plan delivery routes and schedule daily logistics activities, maintaining accurate inventory and recordkeeping using logistics or ERP systems. Communicate shipment status with internal teams and external partners, identifying delays, troubleshooting issues, and escalating when needed to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and documentation standards. Work 8-10 hours per day, including overtime and night shifts, performing physical tasks such as lifting over 50 pounds and wearing personal protective equipment. This role is critical in ensuring materials move accurately, efficiently, and on time throughout Helix Electric's network.
Required Qualifications
- You must have your Osha10 or Osha30
- Due to safety, you must be able to communicate in English
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required
- Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow
- Able to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and night shifts as required
- Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves always), respirator when required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or warehouse coordination preferred
- Experience with a construction company or electrical contractor is preferred
