Job Summary
Facilitate the transportation of CC assets and equipment from warehouses, retail stores, and growers to customers across the United States and Canada. Coordinate carrier information for multi-mode transportation, manage rates, and maintain the provided database structure. Execute follow-up processes to obtain real-time information for ETAs and provide or create customer reporting. Assist in recovering CC product from remote markets and support the Recovery Manager and other coordinators with transportation activities in the assigned region. Manage carrier negotiations and support all functional groups as needed. Travel on an as-needed basis under 5%.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or advanced degree from an accredited university or trade school
- Minimum 1-year experience in a fast-paced customer interacting role
- Ability to manage detailed data or information
- Demonstrated capability with Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer
- Carrier management and rate negotiations for multi-mode transportation
- TMS skills utilizing one of the industry standard management systems
- Strong communication skills related to phone interaction with customers and vendors
- Demonstrated capability using Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks & projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to work well with a minimal amount of supervision
- Demonstrated flexibility to work as an individual contributor or as part of a team
- A strong entrepreneurial spirit and desire to be part of a small, rapidly changing organization
- Willingness to travel on an as-needed basis (<5%)
Desired Qualifications
- preferred experience in Logistics/Supply Chain/Equipment Handling
- Demonstrated ability to interpret directions and situations
- A history of customer and vendor interaction
- Prior experience with BluJay/E2 TMS
- CMS experience
- Experience negotiating consumer goods and transportation costing
