Job Summary
Check delivered materials for accuracy, move pallets to holding areas, and sort items by product type while ensuring oldest stock is processed first. Package parts using established standards, verify goods against bills of lading and purchase orders, and stock shelves maintaining neatness and accuracy. Label problem parts, enter product information into systems, and audit kits for correctness. Keep work areas clear of debris, assist in training new employees, and provide leadership to logistics associates as needed. Perform all tasks involved in the distribution flow of material, supplies, and equipment while communicating with inspectors, buyers, and production personnel.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 2+ years of related experience
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Thorough understanding of the entire distribution system
- Good computer skills to ensure accuracy in the material flow process
- Functional and/or process knowledge
- Awareness of Flex technologies/techniques
- Flex forklift training
- Pallet rider certification
- Order picker certification
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
