Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator will dispatch and forecast intermodal chassis to maintain equipment levels at terminals/ports, maintain and provide daily/weekly/monthly reports, input manual invoices into CMS for payment processing, oversee local training and interaction with the motor carrier community, coordinate and process dispatch requirements for bare chassis repositioning, manage inventories and project spreadsheets, communicate with depots, marine and rail terminals, reconcile inventories with the Data department, negotiate drayage rates with motor carriers, monitor service levels, and train colleagues to ensure operational continuity while maintaining customer-focused communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years’ experience in dispatch operations or logistics/equipment control
- Ability to adhere to procedures, standards, and activities
- Proactive, able to work under pressure
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize daily
- Proficient in web-based applications
- Ability to work independently with sound decision making
- Occasional weekend duties for holiday or contingency coverage
- Personable, confident with customers
