Logistics Coordinator

Coordinate daily transportation activities including scheduling pickups and deliveries, entering shipment details into the ERP system, and communicating with carriers, brokers, vendors, and customers. Manage freight quotes, determine equipment needs (dry van, reefer, rail/intermodal), prepare dispatch documents, track special shipment requirements (food-grade equipment, temperature control), review invoices and BOLs, organize and maintain transportation records, and support domestic transportation operations such as produce shipments and warehouse transfers in a busy Chicago-based logistics environment. Ensure shipment accuracy and timely communication by following SOPs and maintaining carrier, broker, vendor, and warehouse information.
