Job Summary
Coordinate and schedule all inbound and outbound freight, including intercompany shipments between Canada and the U.S., while assigning carriers and tracking on-time pickup and delivery performance. Prepare shipping documentation such as bills of lading and customs paperwork, record shipments in dispatch software, and audit freight invoices to manage disputes. Optimize delivery routes and loads to minimize costs, monitor railcar pipelines and carrier rates via Power BI, and provide freight quotes for new business. Resolve service-related issues, claims, and regulatory compliance matters while collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Transportation teams to improve service levels.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of related logistics or transportation experience
- Experience with oversized loads
- Experience with multi-site deliveries
- Experience with multiple commodities
- Strong understanding of transportation requirements
- Knowledge of truck weights and loading capacities
- Knowledge of product lift sizes and piece counts
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to adapt to changing work demands
