Job Summary
Logistics Broker responsible for supporting client relations and carrier procurement, tracking freight movements, and communicating with carriers and customers to ensure shipping requirements are met. Responsibilities include scheduling carriers per booking instructions, coordinating orders for on-time delivery, acting as account manager to understand and fulfill customer service requirements, developing relationships with approved carriers, negotiating rates, coordinating inbound/outbound shipments with staff at destinations, and maintaining flexibility to work extended hours as required. Requires experience in a mid-level logistics role, familiarity with 3PL freight brokerage, strong English communication, and proficiency with common software; familiarity with TMW software is an asset. Office environment with no remote work available; includes benefits and base-plus-commission compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a mid-level logistics role or equivalent
- Experience in 3PL freight brokerage environment is an asset
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong understanding of the geographical region of the role
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Experience with TMW software is an asset
- Ability to manage customer relations and coordinate shipments
