Job Summary
Manage receiving, distribution, inventory control, and storage of products while ensuring safety, security, and productivity standards across Mayo Clinic operations. Handle high-volume incoming requests via phone, mail, and fax to resolve invoice/receipt problems, expediting, and returns. Research and resolve specialty transactions, including aged items on proof of delivery and managing returns for controlled substances and hazardous materials. Utilize reports to ensure data integrity for special handling instructions and critical orders, while identifying trends causing processing delays to implement long-term solutions. Comply with broad policies and governmental regulations, assisting with projects as directed by SCM leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of supply chain management
- Experience with receiving, distribution, inventory control, transportation, records management, warehousing, and storage of products
- Ability to interact with suppliers regarding expediting, returns, and solving invoice/receipt problems
- Ability to handle a high volume of incoming requests via phone, mail, and fax
- Ability to act as a point of contact from other SCM areas to resolve inquiries and problems
- Ability to enlist appropriate SCM personnel for assistance
- Ability to work on special projects as assigned
- Ability to research and resolve problem transactions related to Invoices not Received and Received not Invoiced
- Ability to research aged items on proof of delivery
- Ability to identify shipping mode
- Ability to manage returns
- Ability to research specialty transactions derived from verbal or written requests
- Ability to ensure data integrity in transactions including special handling instructions, expediting, critical orders, and routine fulfillment
- Ability to identify possible trends causing processing delays
- Ability to collaborate with affected individuals to implement long-term solutions
- Ability to sustain and comply with a broad range of policies and governmental regulations
