Logistics Analyst II

Job Summary

Under direct supervision, assist in providing integrated logistics support activities for life cycle support of systems and equipment. Review customer requirements to plan program activities from conceptual stages through full system life cycles. Provide technical expertise in Marine Corps logistics, material, and supply management while facilitating accountability in retail and enterprise-level inventory. Prepare and maintain essential documentation for capital asset lifecycle events, including acquisition, transference, and disposal. Propose mechanisms to improve workflow efficiencies and identify points of weakness. Process asset entry into GCSS-MC and DPAS, manage MILSTRIP documentation, and reconcile Due-In and Status Files. Conduct causative research, trend analysis, and reporting to support audit readiness and internal control implementation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 years of related experience (minimum)
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, speak and hear, and to use hands and arms for routine work tasks
  • The employee may occasionally lift or move items up to 30 pounds
  • Vision abilities required include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy in data entry
  • Experience preparing and maintaining auditable documentation
  • Ability to conduct causative research and resolve account discrepancies
  • Experience facilitating Government property transfers (GFP)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage high-volume transactional workload
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge and experience in Global Combat Support System – Marine Corps (GCSS-MC)
  • Working knowledge and experience in Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS)
  • Working knowledge and experience in Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE/WAWF/EDA)
  • Working knowledge and experience in FEDMALL, WebFLIS, PDREP, Logistics Data Gateway (LDG), and ETMS2
  • Familiarity with Marine Corps internal control programs and audit compliance requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • experience in supporting DOD Federal acquisition programs
  • knowledge of policy/ principles/organizational protocols
  • Experience in providing integrated logistics support activities designed to provide effective and efficient life cycle support of systems and equipment
  • Ability to facilitate accountability in retail- and enterprise-level inventory activities and units
  • Ability to prepare, maintain and control essential supporting documentation to document major events in a capital asset's lifecycle from acquisition, transference, sub custody and final disposition and/or disposal in support of existence and completeness
  • Propose and manage new mechanisms to improve project workflow efficiencies and proactively identify points of weakness and inefficiency, working with project leads to identify solutions
  • Ability to understand and fulfill the client's current needs through anticipating and proactively addressing future needs and executing on those efforts
