Job Summary

Manage Navy logistics operations, financial management, and inventory for Naval Aviation Support Detachments by conducting inventories, validity management, and parts tracking. Perform supply support for ashore activities, check stock levels for quality and quantity issues, and return unacceptable materials to vendors for replacement or refunds. Support maintenance activities requiring direct supply and materials, while facilitating accuracy and readiness for government teams through expertise in current stock levels. Directly support Supply Officers and Supply Chain of Commands in day-to-day taskings and operations, ensuring compliance with GCPC policy and procedure. Requires 10 to 15 years of experience in US military logistics operations afloat and ashore, proficiency in NAVAIR processes, and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong verbal communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Initiative-taker requiring minimal supervision
  • Works well in a team environment
  • 10 to 15 years of experience and knowledge in US military logistics operation afloat and ashore (ASD), specifically a Logistics Specialist rating while in the military
  • Associate degree in logistics or a business discipline is required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience with financial management in the Navy
  • Broad knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Outlook) is required
  • Proficiency in Stock Control functions, NERP, ASD operations, NALCOMIS, AIS, NAVSUP One Touch, FIMARS, and NAVAIR processes
  • Experience and knowledge of the Navy Working Capital fund policies and concepts
  • Experience with the Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness program
  • Experience with automated supply/maintenance management, supply system query programs, shipment channels, and standard supply processes
  • Proficiency with Navy R-Supply system, GCPC procedures, OPTAR management, and NERP
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain the required security clearance for the position
  • Sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner
  • Lifting to 40 lbs
