Job Summary

Manage Navy aviation supply and logistics operations for Naval Aviation Support Detachments, including inventory management, stock control, and financial oversight. Conduct inventories, validity management, and parts tracking while ensuring quality and quantity accuracy. Support maintenance activities requiring direct supply and materials, and facilitate demand planning and supply initiatives. Perform record keeping, parts tracking, and return unacceptable materials to vendors for replacements or warranty support. Provide expertise in current stock levels to government teams and assist with Aircraft Material Condition Reports and CASREP systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong verbal communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Initiative-taker requiring minimal supervision
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Experience and knowledge in US military logistics operation afloat and ashore (ASD), specifically a Logistics Specialist rating while in the military
  • 15 years for Senior position, 5 years for Mid-level position, and 3 years for Junior position
  • Associate degree in logistics or a business discipline is required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience with financial management in the Navy
  • Broad knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Outlook) is required
  • Proficiency in Stock Control functions, NERP, ASD operations, NALCOMIS, AIS, NAVSUP One Touch, FIMARS, and NAVAIR processes
  • Experience and knowledge of the Navy Working Capital fund policies and concepts
  • Experience with the Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness program
  • Experience with automated supply/maintenance management, supply system query programs, shipment channels, and standard supply processes
  • Proficiency with Navy R-Supply system, GCPC procedures, OPTAR management, and NERP
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain the required security clearance for the position
  • Sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner
  • Walking moderate to long distance
  • Lifting to 40 lbs
