Job Summary
Supervise students in the classroom during teacher absences, managing attendance, behavior, assignments, and daily records. Implement teacher lesson plans, evaluate individual student knowledge, and provide guidance on incomplete work. Maintain confidentiality, follow critical incident policies, and operate job-related equipment while collaborating with departments to enhance the learning environment. Develop and review compliance reports, participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams, and attend required training and certifications. Report directly to the School Principal with minimal supervision in this onsite contract role within a juvenile correctional facility.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to implement daily and weekly teacher lesson plans designed to enforce full course objectives in the absence of an educator.
- Ability to create and provide a positive learning environment conducive to and supportive of individual growth and development of students.
- Ability to maintain and control educational department supplies, equipment, and tools.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a teamwork environment.
- Ability to accept supervision and constructive feedback.
- Ability to test negative on all drug tests.
- Attending and successfully completing all required training and certifications.
