Job Summary
Loft Coordinator at Longo's Vaughan location responsible for coordinating the Loft events, demos, and store events (including cooking classes, room rental for community and corporate events), in-store demo programs and scheduling, preparing food and beverage orders, supporting store events and celebrations, and delivering exceptional customer service. Requires at least 1 year of event planning experience, strong financial acumen, proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel, knowledge of WHMIS, Food Safety and Health and Safety practices, excellent time management and multi-tasking, issue resolution skills, effective communication and listening, plus creativity and strong organizational abilities. Retail environment; availability for days, evenings, and weekends; travel to support off-site events. Accommodations available for applicants with disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in event planning
- Thorough understanding of financials with a proven track record of delivering on financial targets
- Proficient computer software skills including Word, Power Point and Excel
- Understanding of WHMIS, Food Safety and Health and Safety practices
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
- Ownership to resolve issues with a sense of urgency
- Effective communication and listening skills
- Strong creativity and organizational skills
