Job Summary

Register and check out guests for all WMRL properties, managing reservations via Streamline Software and compiling daily reports. Accurately count banks, close tills, and post extra room charges while stocking, cleaning, and merchandising Village Market products. Clean public areas of the Lodging Check-In, Market, and offices regularly, and coordinate with Security to resolve guest conflicts. Provide thorough information about the resort and surrounding areas, cross-sell resort offerings, and perform additional tasks assigned to support departmental efficiency. Work moderate physical activity including lifting up to 20 lbs and operating company vehicles as required.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong customer service background
  • Minimum of 3 years customer service experience
  • Local area knowledge
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people and handle multiple tasks and challenging situations in a calm, professional manner
  • Self-starter able to work independently with little supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while adjusting priorities to address customer concerns with the highest level of service
  • Ability to cross-sell other resort departments and effectively communicate offerings to guests
  • Proficient in operating computers, software, and phones to assist guests
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to transport guests
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to be added to WSI's vehicle insurance policy
  • Commitment to personal safety and participation in the company safety program
  • Ability to work within company and departmental policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual
  • Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Ability to work overtime during peak demand periods
  • Limited flexibility in schedule changes on short notice

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in lodging, property management, or resort-specific desk duties and guest service
  • Office clerical experience, including MS Office, copy/scan, RTP, and Streamline
  • Previous cash-handling and retail experience, including counting a bank
  • Ability to effectively lead and coach others
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Helping customers gives you energy
