Job Summary

Collaborate with management to achieve lodge goals while driving revenue through retail and on-site Heli-Sales. Lead performance management for staff, provide direction and coaching, and create detailed action plans to prioritize tasks. Act as the main point of contact for heli-ski guests, maintain on-site staff accommodation, and track inventory levels for daily operations. Create and manage the staff schedule, ensure successful time entry completion, and support injured guests with follow-up. Work with area management to build a safe workplace and implement health, safety, and sustainability initiatives. Operate on a rotating schedule with flexibility to take on multiple lodge functions based on daily operational needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in hospitality, travel and tourism, or equivalent work experience
  • Food Safe Certificate
  • Occupational First Aid Level 1, or equivalent
  • BC Serving-it-Right
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in the hospitality industry, preferred
  • Previous experience in management
  • Experience in Point of Sale
  • Confident with public speaking and the facilitation of training sessions and workshops
  • Strong sense of work ethic and accountability, with an ability to function well in a team environment and focus on team success
  • A willingness to learn and develop skills with on-the-job management training
  • A passion for providing high-end hospitality and service experiences
  • Ability to process sales in a retail environment
  • Integrity, discretion, and critical thinking, along with adaptability and effective problem-solving skills
  • A positive, collaborative working style, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and strategic planning abilities
  • The ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and in a timely manner, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn other relevant software platforms
  • The ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating seasonal workloads and changing priorities
  • The confidence to interact with all levels of the company, including those in remote locations within a hub-and-spoke model
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 20 pounds on a occasional basis
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a regular basis
  • The ability to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business
  • Employees are required to find their own way to and from the lodge or helicopter staging area
  • Travel is required from time-to-time throughout the year for company meetings and workshops
