Lodge Maintenance Officer

Job Summary
Respond to maintenance requests and undertake general repairs, handyman, trade, and labouring duties. Complete scheduled maintenance, cyclical inspections, and routine tasks using appropriate tools and light equipment. Support refurbishment and project work as directed while promoting safe, high-quality outcomes. This role requires a trade certificate, current Chief Fire Warden qualification, and at least one year of relevant experience. Applicants must demonstrate strong WHS knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure. Candidates must hold current police checks, pass a physical assessment, and be vaccinated against communicable diseases per NSW guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Trade certificate or relevant maintenance experience
- Current Chief Fire Warden qualification
- At least 1 years' experience in trade, handyman or facilities maintenance
- Strong WHS knowledge and commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment
- Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills
- Friendly, reliable and respectful when working with residents, staff and contractors
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and stay calm under pressure
- Current police check
- Pass a physical assessment
Desired Qualifications
- Healthcare, aged care, hospital or commercial experience highly desirable
