Job Summary
Locum tenens Nurse Practitioner General Surgery position in Georgia (Atlanta area) for outpatient care with additional focus in Orthopedics, Ob/Gyn, Urology, and ENT. Responsibilities include high-volume surgical cases (average 90-110/week), no on-call, and a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30–4:30 with potential weekend rotation. Start date August 3. Work alongside OR staff (surgeon, scrub tech, circulating RN, CRNA) in an Epic EMR environment. Location examples include Atlanta and College Park, GA, with licensure in Georgia. The role emphasizes general surgery duties as the top priority within a multidisciplinary surgical team in a hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- GA NP license
- Board Certification by ANCC or AANP
- GA state license
- Eligibility to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Georgia
- Experience in general surgery or acute care settings
- Ability to work in an outpatient surgical setting
- EMR proficiency (Epic)
- Licensure and credentialing for locum tenens assignments
- U.S. work authorization
