Locums Position in AK for Psychiatrist

Conduct inpatient mental health and psychiatric emergency care for patients aged 12 and up, managing approximately 20 patients per shift with a 4:1 follow-up to new evaluation ratio. Deliver pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy while managing involuntary commitments for conditions including anxiety, affective, psychotic, personality, and eating disorders. Work 7 days on/7 days off from 8 am to 6 pm with 40 hours guaranteed, or 7 on/7 off for overnight calls with very low call volume. Settings include inpatient units, community behavioral health, and consult liaison roles. Weekly pay deposits and complimentary housing and travel are provided through CompHealth.
