Job Summary
Locums psychiatrist opportunity in Michigan with Weatherby Healthcare. Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for adult patients with dual diagnosis in an integrated community-center program. Schedule includes Monday and Thursday 8am-4pm EST, 2 hours on Tue/Wed/Fri for consultation, and a 12-18 month commitment at about 20 hours per week. Preference for onsite work but hybrid or remote options available. Includes paid malpractice insurance and pre-paid travel and housing expenses; participation in weekly dual-diagnosis treatment team meetings. Charter member of NALTO; Weatherby Healthcare provides dedicated consulting support.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree in Psychiatry
- Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry
- Current medical licensure in good standing
- Locum tenens experience preferred
- Ability to perform psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management
- Experience with dual diagnosis and intensive outpatient settings
- Availability for 12-18 month commitment with 20 hours per week
- Reliable malpractice insurance provided
- Pre-paid travel and housing expenses included
- Ability to work onsite with option for hybrid or remote arrangements
- Professional communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary treatment team
