Job Summary
Provide general neurology and vascular stroke/emergency consults in an inpatient setting with a patient volume of 10-20 per day. Perform lumbar punctures as preferred procedures while working with residents at a 1:4 ratio. Utilize the Cerner EMR system for documentation. Maintain a 7a-7p schedule with 7 on/7 off rotation and no call requirement. Must be board-certified and hold DEA certification. Paid travel and expenses are covered. Located an hour from Sacramento, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Board certification in Neurology
- DEA certification
- Availability for 7a-7p schedule
- Availability for 7 on/7 off schedule
- Ability to perform general neurology and vascular stroke/emergency consults
- Ability to perform lumbar puncture
- Experience working with residents at a 1:4 ratio
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR
