Job Summary
Provide locum coverage for a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant role, including hospital rounding, elective and emergent surgery, and clinic assistance. Perform procedures such as chest tube removal, pulmonary artery catheter extraction, epicardial wire removal, and intra-aortic balloon pump management. Work with support staff using Meditech and eCW EMR systems. Handle cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and CABG cases. Requires board certification. Includes 24-hour call shifts with paid travel and expenses. Explore the historic downtown, scenic riverfront, and local businesses during time off.
