Job Summary
Neurology physician needed for locum tenens assignment in Norfolk, VA. Duties include inpatient rounds with APP support at two sites, daily patient load around 15, and a combination of on-site daytime coverage (7am–5pm, plus 5pm–7am teleneurology) with teleneurology coverage 2 nights per week across eight facilities. Responsibilities include in-person rounds at one site and teleneurology coverage at two sites, using EPIC for time entry and documentation. Malpractice coverage is provided, and travel and housing expenses are prepaid. This is a contract locum role with Weatherby Healthcare, a CHG Healthcare company and charter member of NALTO, offering competitive compensation and ongoing support from a specialty consultant.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO physician
- Neurology specialty
- Board-certified or eligible in Neurology
- Inpatient experience with APP support
- Telemedicine experience acceptable if applicable to role
- EMR proficiency (EPIC)
- Able to cover multiple sites and teleneurology shifts
