Job Summary
Locum Hospitalist position in Defiance, OH with Weatherby Healthcare. Responsibilities include inpatient hospital medicine coverage with 6am-6pm shifts, 7-on/7-off rotations, handling 12-14 patients daily and 2-3 admits, in a hospital setting. Eligible candidates must hold MD or DO, be board-certified or eligible in internal medicine or family medicine for hospitalist work, and obtain Ohio licensure. The role includes paid malpractice insurance and pre-paid travel and housing expenses, with credentialing, licensing, travel, and housing assistance provided. Start ASAP under a locum-tenens arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Hospitalist experience or eligible for hospitalist role
- Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine or family medicine (implicit in hospitalist role)
- Licensure or eligibility for medical license in Ohio
- Credentialing and licensing support acceptable
- Malpractice insurance provided by employer or paid by assignment
