Job Summary
Locum Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant in California for a 120-day assignment. Responsibilities include functioning at the top of license across OR, ICU, stepdown, and telemetry floors; autonomous EVH with Maquet/Getinge EVH system; first assisting across the CT surgery spectrum including CABG, ARV/MVR, complex aortic surgery, transplant, and Mechanical Circulatory Support (LVAD, ECMO, temporary MCS); manage CT surgery patients in ICU/stepdown/telemetry; handle hemodynamics, chest tubes, pacing wires, invasive lines, anticoagulation, rapid escalation; perform on-call duties with rounding in an 18-bed CVSICU and be available for emergencies; EMR: Epic.
