Job Summary
Locum Hospitalist position at Roseway Hospital in Shelburne, NS. Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to hospitalized patients, including assessing, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans; conduct daily rounds; order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging; manage acute and chronic conditions during hospitalization. Remuneration includes guaranteed daily minimums ($1,200 for family physicians, $1,600 for specialists) with additional shadow billings, accommodations up to $300/night, travel expenses (airfare up to $1,500) and travel time up to 10 hours/week. Requires full licensure eligibility with CPSNS, CFPC certification for family physicians, and CMPA affiliation.
Required Qualifications
- eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) for family physicians
- membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- postgraduate medical training in medicine as a licensed physician in Canada
- MD or equivalent medical degree recognized for licensure in Nova Scotia
