Job Summary
Locum Hematologist/Oncologist Physician needed in Las Cruces, NM to provide inpatient and outpatient hematology/oncology care. Schedule: Monday–Friday 8 am–5 pm, 1 week per month to full time with weekend call coverage; ~1 hour new patients and 20-minute follow-ups; includes ED consults and participation in clinical trials. Responsibilities include supervising Advanced Practice Providers; no resident or teaching supervision required. Travel, housing, and comprehensive malpractice coverage arranged; credentialing streamlined. Includes both inpatient and outpatient care with ~maximum 17 patients per shift; supportive staffing and the CompHealth staffing team handling details.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD/DO) required for Hematology/Oncology physician role
- Board-eligible or board-certified in hematology/oncology (as implied by specialty)
- Ability to supervise Advanced Practice Providers
- Inpatient and outpatient care experience expected
