Job Summary
Locum Family Physician coverage in Timberlea, NS to include inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with travel expenses reimbursed (kilometrage, per diems, accommodations up to $300/night, airfare up to $1,500) and travel time up to 10 hours/week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, with potential Facility On Call fees. Must be eligible for licensure with CPSNS and for CFPC certification; CMPA membership encouraged. Collaborative, team-based care environment with opportunities for peer consultation and involvement in Nova Scotia’s healthcare system.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
